Corporate Volunteering

Many businesses in the Rock River Valley volunteer with local organizations.  One way corporations can volunteer is by participating in a Day of Caring Project.

  • Day of Caring Projects are volunteer projects of all sizes in the community that take place throughout the year.
  • Many companies find that a solid volunteerism program can be an important employee recruitment and retention tool.
  • Company-sponsored volunteer activities can foster team spirit and allow people to get to know their colleagues outside the workplace.
  • Volunteer opportunities encourage employees to take the lead.
  • Volunteering challenges employees to learn new skills that may help them in their careers.

If you're a non-profit and have a need for a group of volunteers, a Day of Caring Project is a great way to fulfill the need. Typically, Day of Caring projects are done in the summer or fall, but they can be done all year round. You choose the project, the date/time of the project, and the number of volunteers you're looking for, and submit the project from there! When Day of Caring Projects are received, they are then submitted to the companies to select the ones they would like to participate in.
