| Description: Volunteering for the Center of Hope is on a case by case basis. Normally, we do not have temporary untrained volunteers operating as direct care staff assistants. As we are a specialized facility, temporary volunteers are required to obtain or hold specialized training, similar or equal to employees, previous to the job. These duties would require previous permission and authorization. Volunteer opportunities do exist however. We welcome persons or groups who would perform specific tasks, often relating to bulding and grounds maintenance and repair, gardening, and consultation. We also welcome persons or groups wishing to help at fund raising events or similar. These opportunities are generally of short duration and are by previous arrangement. We also welcome persons and groups with specific talents that may lend themselves to enrichment opportunities/classes. These may include music, art, or similar talents. yearly we hold a fund raising event called "Inspired To Paint" and throughout the year, artists of various mediums hold workshops and training with our participants. |
