This weekly award from United Way of Rock River Valley recognizes volunteers who are making a difference in our community with local nonprofit organizations.  Nominations are received for individual’s outstanding contributions throughout the year from nonprofit organizations or community members with in the Rock River Valley. Volunteer of the Year

Annually, non-profit organizations throughout the community are asked to nominate a volunteer at their organization who has gone above and beyond the call of service. To earn a nomination the recipients must be a local individual that shares their time and talents volunteering for area nonprofits.  One adult and one youth volunteer are selected from the list of nominees by an unbiased group of volunteers. The Volunteer of the Year designation is given to a person who exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism and who have made a tremendous impact on the organization in which they serve.  Find out more about this year's Volunteer of the Year.
