Paint-a-thon

Giving a fresh coat of paint to the homes of elderly and disabled people in our community.

The Salvation Army – Winnebago County is pleased to announce the 22nd annual Paint-a-thon! Over the course of next week, 20 homes will receive a fresh coat of paint. Those selected for this program meet income guidelines and are either elderly or disabled.

One of the teams that will be painting a home is in need of some extra help. This team will be scraping, priming, and painting a one-story home in Rockford. They plan to work each weekday evening next week from 5:30 p.m. until dark. As the week progresses, the team captain will determine if the team will assemble on Saturday, August 14th to complete the painting.
