Relay For Life Event Volunteers
Opportunity Description:
The American Cancer Society is looking for day of volunteers for the Relay For Life of Winnebago County taking place June 22, 2012-June 23, 2012. Day of event volunteers are asked to assist anytime during the day from 10am on June 22, 2012 to help set-up the event, then from 5pm(6/22/12) - 5am (5/23/2012) to help execute and clean-up the event. Anytime commitment during those hours is welcome! Groups and children are welcome as we have various opportunities we need help filling. Groups/individual volunteers have the opportunity to run the kids tent, help celebrate the survivors during opening ceremonies, help remember those lost or still fighting cancer by setting up Luminaria around the track before dusk for the Luminaria ceremony, help run games, help on the logistics side, greet participants, sit at an information or silent auction table, or simply be a smiling face around the event to make sure everyone is having a good time! If you, or someone you know, are passionate about the fight against cancer, are motivated to fight back, and want to represent the American Cancer Society in our community..then contact us to volunteer at Relay For Life Winnebago County, June 22/23, 2012.

Opportunity Description:
The American Cancer Society is looking for street team members for the Relay For Life of Winnebago County taking place the weekend of June 22, 2012. Being a street team member means that you are a part of the group of people that help advertise the Relay For Life event through the community. Positions include things like painting the town purple, hanging up flyers, dropping promotional materials to sponsors, inviting cancer survivors to our complimentary survivor dinner, and talking up Relay around the community. These positions can be done while individuals are running errands or by getting a group together and blitzing the community. Anytime you can give we are willing to accept. If you, or someone you know, are passionate about the fight against cancer, are motivated to fight back, and want to represent the American Cancer Society in our community..then you can be a member of our street team. We supply the materials we just need people/groups to help us spread the word around Winnebago County about Relay For Life.

Opportunity Description:
The American Cancer Society is looking for committee members for the Relay For Life of Winnebago County taking place the weekend of June 22, 2012. Being a committee member means that you are a part of the group of people that plan, advertise, and execute the actual Relay For Life event. Positions include things like team recruitment and mentoring, corporate sponsorship, survivorship, entertainment, activities, food, hospitality, silent auction, Luminaria, planning ceremonies, youth involvement, logistics, advertising the event and much, much more! Committee members are asked to attend monthly meetings, and the Relay For Life event. If you, or someone you know, are passionate about the fight against cancer, are motivated to fight back, and want to represent the American Cancer Society in our community..then you can be a committee member. Areas of experience helpful but not required: fundraising, public relations, special event planning, outgoing, passion to fight cancer, organized, creative, and positive!
