Who We Are
For nearly 70 years, Northwest Community Center has served the human service needs of the diverse population of northwest Rockford. Serving more than 10,000 of our neighbors annually, NWCC is a focal point for community development and an important resource for people of all ages.

What We Do
NWCC provides a host of services ranging from recreation, educational programs and human services. The other services provided by NWCC are All Day youth programing during the school year on No School Days, Volunteer program, DHS provider facilitating both TANF (Temporary Assistance of Needy Families) & SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program), Empowering Woman for Success which is a woman specific program helping to eliminate the barriers that will help them achieve their goals, full 15 station Computer lab accessible by the community, Job Readiness Training including resume building, job search assistance & volunteer placement, Department of Human Services (DHS) Enrolment Orientation, High School Equivalency Classes (GED) facilitated by Rock Valley College, Bingo, Alcoholic Anonymous Group Sessions, Parenting Classes facilitated by Youth Services Bureau, Community Pet Vaccination Program offered multiple times a year, and Event Rentals.
