This volunteer opportunity includes assisting in organizing, planning and coordinating special events and activities for RAMP. We are looking for responsible volunteers with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Special Event Assistants will assist RAMP staff in organizing, planning and coordinating community events including the Wine and Beer Tasting, Bad Pants Golf Outing, RAMP Wheel-A-Thon, River Run, RAMP Annual Luncheon, as well as fundraisers, and other special activities. Tasks may include making phone calls, assisting with mailings, working with businesses and donors, running errands, and soliciting community partners.
This volunteer opportunity requires flexible hours and will work directly with the Special Events Coordinator and other appropriate staff.
Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Make contact with community members and follow up with correspondence. This will include making requests for silent auction items and sponsorships. Professional communication skills required.
- Assist with office tasks, including photocopying, mass mailings, entering data, and filing.
- Run errands
- Assist with day of event logistics (setup, tear down, registration, etc.)
